Abel Cruz

Abel was born in Mexico and comes from a family of many talents in music. From an early age he was invited to Los Angeles, CA with other family members to complete concert tours with the group Marimba Ecos De Chiapas where he played the marimba instrument.

Since 1986 and for more than five years, Abel had the opportunity to make several recordings for the program "The Voice of Prophesy” and participate in several of their events including the celebration of its 50th Anniversary. Over the next three years, Abel was dedicated to carry out musical tours with the Marimba group in different parts of the United States. In 1994, Abel arrived to Florida and in 1995 joined “Arco Iris Music Ministry” where he sang tenor for nearly 15 years. At the same time also devoted his talents to God as a soloist and with other bands including “Without a Doubt” and “Still Ministries”.

In 2009, Abel joined “Second Chance SDA Music” as sound engineer and in 2012 joined his wife (Elizabeth Cruz) as singer in the group. Abel is also an active member of the Tampa Spanish Seventh-Day Adventist Church where he has worked as a teacher in the youth department, elder , deacon , staff of  music department , and any area where his help is needed.

Special Message: In my personal experience, the sole purpose of participating in a music ministry is to bring the message of hope through music. Music has been a balm in times of pain and despair in my own life. I pray that these words of praise can bring you closer to God and you can find the peace that your heart needs. In the middle of problems or difficult experiences in life, may you find rest at the feet of our beloved Jesus.
