Ivette was born in Puerto Rico, but her parents and sisters are from Dominican Republic. During her childhood and as a teenager, she had the opportunity to sing with her 3 sisters wherever her father was invited to preach. In April 1996, she had the opportunity to participate, singing with her sisters, in many presentations of Arco Iris music ministry. A few months later, she began singing with Arco Iris as a group. In May 2005, Ivette married Valdimir de la Rosa and in 2006 she joined Second Chance music ministry and began singing with her husband who was one of the founders of this group.  She is not currently singing due to health status of her vocal cords but continues to actively assist the group as the administrative secretary and public relations coordinator. Ivette is member of Tampa Spanish SDA church, where for many years (2001-2004 and 2007-2010) served as the Director or sub-director of the Youth Department.
